The Xanthe Project

Celebrating a decade of SARAH & SEBASTIAN, we proudly introduce Xanthe—a collection that pays tribute to the exquisite allure and intricate nature of corals found in the Great Barrier Reef. Derived from Zooxanthellae, a vital organism that nurtures coral vitality, Xanthe exemplifies our enduring commitment to safeguarding and preserving our oceans—a core principle that has guided co-founders Sarah Munro and Robert Sebastian Grynkofki throughout the past ten years.

As SARAH & SEBASTIAN's design ethos is deeply rooted in the ocean's captivating influence, they eagerly anticipate the next decade—an era of paramount significance for ocean conservation. Through the Xanthe Project, they pledge to contribute over a million dollars to protect our precious marine ecosystems. This commitment will be fulfilled through a range of initiatives, including proceeds from collection and product-specific sales, as well as ongoing contributions, ensuring a lasting legacy of environmental stewardship.

10 Years Event - Now You See Me

NOW YOU SEE ME is a series of short films, which aims to drive awareness of the challenges faced by Australia’s most endangered marine life. In commemoration of its 10th anniversary, Sarah & Sebastian have curated an exclusive event in Benelong Restaurant, Sydney Opera House to showcase the profound cinematic narratives of Now You See Me - The Reef films.

Employing the symbolic significance of "X" as both the Roman numeral for ten and a nod to "Xanthe," I have seamlessly incorporated this element throughout various design collaterals. From the captivating digital and physical invitations to the meticulously crafted menus, each piece features a stunning embossed portrayal of the coral captured by Sarah during her immersive dive in The Great Barrier Reef.
